Orders to submit a report of pending cases to the SP within 15 days
Chandigarh : Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that people of the State will not have to run from pillar to post to get justice, state police have to act promptly on the complaints of the people.
He said that the police officers and employees will have to improve their functioning as well as bring transparency and all officers will ensure prompt redressal of grievances of people in police stations along with timely justice.
Amidst bitter cold and rain, Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij raided the Shahabad police station in the Kurukshetra district this afternoon. During the investigation of documents in the police station, Home Minister found that several complaints of the people were left unresolved and investigation of many cases was not even completed.
Taking strict cognizance of the same, he on the spot issued the suspension order of SHO Inspector Prem Singh posted at Shahabad police station. Besides this, he also suspended the SI Ramesh Kumar after Sh. Vij found that the investigation in more than six cases was pending
He also issued suspension orders of ASI Sudesh Kumar, for not arresting the accused in a case registered for more than one year.

When the Home Minister raided the Shahabad police station today and scrutinized the files, he found that several cases were pending for the last six months to 3 years and in many cases action was not taken as per rules.
Taking strict cognizance of this, the Home Minister also reprimanded the police officers and directed Kurukshetra district Superintendent of Police, Dr. Anshu Singla, who was present on the spot to investigate pending cases in the police station and submit the report within 15 days.

Sh. Anil Vij said that cases are left pending for a long time in the Shahbad police station on which no action is being taken. Many such cases were not even registered and action is pending in those which are registered.
He said that the raids will continue even future as well and he will not allow the people of Haryana to run for justice and the police will have to work.
Home Minister said that it is the endeavour of the state government that every person gets justice immediately through a transparent system.
He said that if any officer behaves negligently then he will not be spared under any circumstances.
On this occasion, Superintendent of Police, Dr Anshu Singla, DSP Atma Ram and others also remained present.
