Chandigarh : Haryana Government has provided financial assistance of Rs 851.46 lakh including Rs 92.94 lakh as subsidy to 1376 beneficiaries under various schemes of Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (HSCFDC) upto the month November during the current financial year.
While stating this here today, Minister of State for Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi said that members belonging to Scheduled Castes are being provided loans under various categories so as to enable them to set up their ventures and make them self-employable. These categories included agriculture and allied, industrial, trade and business sectors, professional and self-employment sector. Financial assistance under schemes assisted by National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC) is also being provided to them.
He said that under agriculture and allied sector, loans worth Rs 577.30 lakh for dairy and piggery farming, sheep rearing, and jhota buggi or camel cart or mule cart were disbursed among 993 beneficiaries upto the month of November. Out of which, Rs 518.71 lakh has been released as bank loan, Rs 58.48 lakh as subsidy and Rs14,000 as margin money.
He said that Rs 17.90 lakh had been provided to 30 beneficiaries under industrial sector scheme. Out of which, Rs 13.11 lakh had been released as bank loan, Rs 3 lakh as subsidy and Rs 1.79 lakh as margin money.
Similarly, under trade and business sector, Rs 248.81 lakh had been provided to 344 beneficiaries. Out of which, Rs 192.56 lakh had been released as bank loan, Rs 31.39 lakh as subsidy and Rs 24.86 lakh as margin money. Under professional and self-employment sector, Rs1.50 lakh has been provided to one beneficiary. Similarly, Rs 5.95 lakh had been released for eight beneficiaries by the Corporation under the schemes assisted by NSKFDC during the same period. Out of this, the share of the state Corporation was Rs 46,000.
The Minister urged the members belonging to Scheduled Castes to take maximum benefits of various schemes being implemented by the Central and State Governments.
