Chandigarh/Amritsar : A sea of humanity today descended at the district courts complex here to express its solidarity with Punjab Revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia for taking AAP Convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to task and renaming him as Accused Arvind Kejriwal (AAK).
More than 20,000 youth spontaneously gathered in and around the court complex here with many more being stranded in traffic jams in various parts of the city even as a State wide call given by AAP asking people to congregate here to support Kejriwal failed to elicit any response.
Mr Majithia, who found it even difficult to enter the court premises due to the mammoth youth gathering, registered his presence in the court of Additional chief judicial magistrate here and set the ball rolling to put Arvind Kejriwal in jail on criminal defamation charges.
Interacting with the media on the occasion, Mr Majithia said Kejriwal had admitted his guilt in the case by refusing to file an application for day to day hearing.” From today onwards the word accused has been prefixed to his name. This is a victory not only for me and my family but the entire Punjabi community. The truth has won. I thank my Punjabi brethren for extended their overwhelming support to my cause which they have made their own”.
Stating that the Delhi chief minister was finally caught in the web of lies and deceit weaved by him, Mr Majithia said Kejriwal would not escape the clutches of law by getting bail in the case. “It is a matter of aaj bail kal jail for this arrogant leader”, he said adding “he may run but he cannot escape the noose of justice”.
Comparing Kejriwal and his MLAs to Ali Baba and Chalis Chor Party, the SAD leader said the number of AAP legislators involved in criminal cases had already crossed the one dozen mark and the day was not far off when it would cross even 40. “Kejriwal is heading a team whose members are accused of molestation and exploitation of women and even anti-national activities as done by its mp Bhagwant Mann by sharing live footage of security arrangements of parliament. He however supports all their actions even as he cries foul over women security and is touched to the quick when his principal secretary’s office is searched because of severe corruption charges. Similarly he speaks out against corruption but hugs Laloo Prasad Yadav”.
Stating that the Delhi government was zero governance and 100 per cent ‘nautanki’, the Revenue minister said what else could explain the persecution drama being unleashed by Kejriwal. “Earlier he feared liquidation by the Gandhi family. Now he is making similar accusations against the Prime Minister. Before that he levelled baseless charges against industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The real picture can be gauged from the statement of AAP MLA Naseem Ahmed Khan who has accused Kejriwal of threatening him. Kejriwal’s criminal mindset can also be seen by perusing the election affidavit submitted by him which states he has more than a dozen criminal cases registered against him. This makes it clear that the Delhi CM has turned into a hardened criminal and habitual offender”, he added.
